Political Scientist
I am an academic specializing in global environmental politics, environmental justice, critical theory and political economy of developing countries. Geographically, I focus on India and the Mediterranean (Turkey and Greece).
I work at the Center for Mediterranean Studies, Yaşar University as a researcher in Izmir since 2019. I obtained my PhD in Political Science and International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), Geneva. My M.Phil. in International Relations is from University of Cambridge (Wolfson College).
My articles have appeared in various peer-reviewed journals, including Environmental Politics, International Environmental Agreements: Politics, Law and Economics, Southeast European and Black Sea Studies and Cambridge Review of International Affairs. I also frequently write newspaper and blog articles (e.g. LSE Blog, The Conversation, and Cumhuriyet etc.).
