I am an Associate Professor in International Relations working on global environmental politics, climate justice, critical theory, and the political economy of developing countries. Geographically, I focus on Turkey, Greece, and India. Currently, I am a faculty member and the program coordinator at the Political Science and International Relations Department at the Middle East Technical University, Northern Cyprus Campus.
I obtained my Ph.D. in Political Science and International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), Geneva. My M.Phil. in International Relations is from the University of Cambridge (Wolfson College), and my B.Sc. in International Relations is from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara.
My articles have appeared in various peer-reviewed journals, including Environmental Politics, International Environmental Agreements: Politics, Law and Economics, Regional Environmental Change, Southeast European and Black Sea Studies, Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies, and Cambridge Review of International Affairs. I also frequently write newspaper and blog articles (e.g. LSE Blog, The Conversation, and Cumhuriyet, etc.).
